The Humboldt Waste Management Authority Board of Directors, at its regular meeting on November 9, 2017, passed Resolution 2018-04, A Resolution of the Humboldt Waste Management Authority, Resolution in Support of “No Straw November” to support the efforts of the Junior Ocean Guardians in raising awareness of the impacts of plastics pollution on the California marina and coastal environments.
Humboldt County is a leader in the fight against plastic pollution and their actions truly show their love of the land and our planet. Here's hoping that other government and corporate agencies follow their lead.
