Yesterday I had the honor of attending my Girl Scouts Council - Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast Gold Award Recognition event in Oxnard. It was an amazing night, complete with Girl Scouts USA CEO Sylvia Acevedo, Girl Scouts of all ranks, and guest speakers Donna McNeely and Dr. Cheryl Lambing. It was such an honor to be in the room with such inspirational women!
I was asked to speak about my project's global success, and for all of you Girl Scouts out there take note, I credit the POWER of G.I.R.L. ALWAYS BE a Go-Getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker & Leader!
I have been waiting for my Gold Award since I first learned about it from my Brownie Troop Leaders in 1st Grade (11 years ago). I've very honored to be called a Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient. Thank you Girl Scouts USA and Girl Scouts of California's Central Coast for making my dream a reality.
