Happy Earth Day & Surprise!
Happy Earth Day, everyone! Today marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of Earth Day and the 5th anniversary of the founding of Jr Ocean Guardians. While the biggest message spread around each Earth Day is to "get outside" - I desperately urge you to enjoy and celebrate the world in another way while inside and go online to EarthDay Live 2020. I feel as if I could write about all the doom and gloom in the world, but that isn't what Earth Day is about. Earth Day is about identifying the problem, understanding it, and equipping not only ourselves with a solution but for others. I am a big believer in the power of providing our future generation the tools of education and empathy. With both skills in hand, I have no doubt in the future of our soon-to-be innovators and problem-solvers of the world - regardless of age. After roughly two years, I can finally share one of my favorite educational projects to date. I will be on Sesame Street's "N is for Nature" episode airing May 9th on HBO Sesame Street. I want to thank Sesame Street for allowing me to be a part of their 50th anniversary season and for allowing me to share some of my favorite places - I hope I inspire curiosity for the world. Another huge thank you to the team at Wavecrest Films for making me feel part of your incredibly sweet family and for the absolutely stunning shots.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me from the bottom of my heart. Earth Day always inspires me to keep up the fight for awareness and education regarding our environment. So please keep badgering your family to listen to your plastics rant, please explain climate change to your followers, and please keep using your voice to spread facts and positive change.
Keep Making Waves!
