The School of Marine and Environmental Affairs at the University of Washington, Currents (a student-run blog) and the Student Environmental Affairs Society are co-sponsoring a "No Straw November" challenge for their department which will include a competition amongst faculty and students, as well as weekly posts on the blog about single-use plastic straws and plastic pollution. CSUMB Dining Services will be removing straws during the entire month of November in all dining locations to support sustainability efforts on campus. Thank you California State University of Monterey Bay for building awareness and making a huge impact and helping your students recognize just how harmful single-use plastic straws are to our environment.
